사실 전 20년 이하된 노래는 잘 부르지 않습니다. 그렇다고 듣지 않는것은 아닙니다. 지수가 워낙 음악을 좋아하니, 저도 자연스럽게 요즘 노래들을 많이 접합니다. 그래도 제 취향에 맞는 음악은 그리 많지 않고, 들리면 들리나 보다 하는 정도.... 그중에서 귀에 딱 들어오는 요즘가수들이 있는데 바로 Jason Mraz와 오늘 소개해 드릴 Plain White T's 라는 요즘 인기있는 가수들이죠. Jason Mraz는 개인적으로 천재적이라 생각하는 가수랍니다.
암튼, Plain White T's라는 그룹의 음악은 상당히 레트로적입니다. 아마도 소프트락 그룹인것 같은데, 많이 알려진 곡은 1234라는 곡과 바로 이 곡 Hey there Delilah라는 곡이죠. 1234보다는 이곡이 먼저 힛트를 했네요. 한국에도 많이 소개되지 않았을까 합니다만.......
시골에서 음악을 하며 뉴욕시티로 공부를 하러 떠난 여자친구에게 사랑을 다짐하며 언젠가는 자신의 음악이 잘 팔려 전설이 될 자신이 있으니 미래를 함께 해나가자며 자신과 여자친구에게 다짐하는 내용인데, 물론 이야기속의 인물들일수도 있으나 전 이 둘이 정말 잘 되길 바라는 마음이네요.
이리 젊은 노래를 한다는 것은 참 쑥스러운 일입니다.
한참전에 1234라는 곡도 부른적이 이는데, 묻혀버렸답니다. ㅠㅠ 함께 들어주시면 고맙겠습니다.
