전설의 기타리스트로 추앙받는 에릭클랩튼은 의심의 여지없이 락/블루스 기타의 황제입니다. 연주는 그렇다 쳐도 팝을 부르는 그의 목소리는 정말 매력적이죠. 고층아파트의 열어놓은 창문으로 어린 아들이 떨어져 사망하는 끔찍한 사고를 경험하고 하늘에 간 아들에게 가만히 말을 건네는 "Tears in heave"은 전세계 팬들의 심금을 울렸습니다. 이젠 그곡은 부르지 않겠노라 선언하였고, 곡을만들때의 아픔이 많이 희석된 지금 아직도 많이 슬픈듯 노래하는 건 사기라는 게 그의  설명이더군요.

암튼, 이 곡은 큰 철학을 담은 곡도 그렇다고 특별한 이벤트라고 할수도 없는 작은 파티에 참석하는 등의 일상을 너무나 담담하게 그려내어 부담이 없어 자주 부르는 곡입니다.
